drab grey walls closing in
feeling of claustrophobia
leaking tears fall unbidden
forlorn and clear on frosted pink cheeks

fear shreds courage
tearing silently from the inner soul
painlessly, silently..
feigning dreams so pure and sure

pouncing swiftly on proud statues
apprehensive and glittering
menacing eyes glow deathly white
devoid of emotions

characters leap gloomily around
treading lightly through undergrowth
innumerable voices call out
beckoning with gnarled, spindly fingers

the being of truth lies hidden
covered with the abundance of liars
poisoned tongues stained with blood
stabbing at the innocent

just stop.
